The Stephen Spielberg directed 3d animated film of Herge’s beloved character earned the second most nominations for an animated film for this year’s Silver Lenas Awards.  The nominators were especially charmed by the characterization of the legendary graphic novel series with three best animated character noms.

Best Adapted Screenplay Joe Cornish, Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright

Best Animated Charater (Lead) Tintin

Best Animated Charater (Supporting) Captain Haddock

Best Animated Charater (Supporting) Snowy

Director/Comedian/Screenwriter Joe Cornish as scored 3 nominations for upcoming 31st Silver Lenas Movie Awards.  Cornish is lauded for his work on the heavily nominated Attack The Block, as well as for his work on adapting The Adventures of Tintin with Steven Moffat and Edgar Wright  (managing the rare Best Original *and* Best Adapted screenplay nominations in a single Silver Lenas).  Clearly 2011 was a great year for Mr. Cornish.
