Tomas Alfredson’s film of the classic cold war spy novel has garnered 5 nominations for the 31st Silver Lena’s Movie Awards. These include 4 of the most prestigious award categories where it is directly competing with major nominees The Artist and Hugo. Gary Oldman himself is up for his masterful erformance as weathered spy George Smiley (which was previously played by Alec Guinness in the 1979 BBC Miniseries)
